You will also get to know about AMD Athlon 200GE APU price, AMD Athlon Pro 200GE, and even much more. So, without wasting time let’s head over to it.
AMD– The budget segment CPU maker and the Intel rival has revealed its another budget-friendly Athlon CPU for entry-level users. The new model naming AMD Athlon 200GE consists integrated AMD Radeon Vega graphics and the slots in below the current Ryzen 3 series. Although the company has given the legacy Athlon name to its CPU, this new CPU is based on the same Zen architecture just like the Ryzen CPU lineup. The plan of AMD is to target the value-conscious buyers who aim to use a new PC for the next 4-5 years. Recommended use cases are schoolwork, office productivity, light gaming, simple Web browsing, and photo editing.
AMD Athlon 200GE APU price:
The latest Athlon 200GE APU will go up against Intel’s Pentium Gold and Celeron product lines and is priced at Rs. 4,190 in India ($55 in the USA).
Athlon 200GE APU is one and the only model being announced, with no news of any upcoming models in the future. The CPU runs at 3.2GHz with two cores and multi-threading. It is based on the similar 14nm ‘Raven Ridge’ design used for the Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G APUs, which were introduced earlier this year. The TDP of CPU is 35W and it is also compatible with the similar Socket AM4 motherboards as all Ryzen CPU’s.
For graphics performance, the Athlon 200GE features three Vega graphics compute units. AMD promises Netflix and other video streaming, HD gaming, and smooth Web rendering. FreeSync is also supported. The company claims that this new APU surpasses the performance of 54W Intel Pentium G4560 by 67 percent in different graphics tests, and is an average of 3 percent behind in CPU-bound plots. When compared with AMD’s own previous generation A6-9500E APU, it is seen that the new Athlon 200GE delivers an average of twice as much performance.
AMD agrees to the fact that it is using the Athlon brand just because of its storied history. Nearly 20 years ago, when the original Athlon and Athlon XP processors debuted, they proved to be hugely successful for AMD, giving the company major lead against their rival Intel for the first time. Therefore with this launch, AMD will eliminate some of its legacy A-series APU’s.
AMD Athlon Pro 200GE:
AMD has also introduced Athlon Pro 200GE model aiming at basic office desktops. Three new Ryzen Pro CPUs for high-end PCs will also join AMD’s profit-making CPU product line. The new Ryzen 7 Pro 2700, Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X, and Ryzen 5 Pro 2600 mirror the specifications of their non-Pro counterparts, but run at somewhat lower speeds. These processors are optimized for security and enterprise management as well as platform durability. The prices for the Athlon Pro and Ryzen Pro models have not been announced.
